FAQ’S & AFTERCARE

Eyelash Extensions

We want you to get the most out of your lashes as we strive for every client to have amazing retention, where at the 2 week mark you think, “Do i even need them refilled?” Please read the below so we can troubleshoot any issues should they arise.

Our new UV/LED Lash System eliminates most retention issues, giving you lashes that last much longer. You can choose between traditional glue or the new system.

  • This revolutionary system uses a UV/LED Light to insantly cure the glue, creating longer lasting lashes as the retention is not affected by environmental factors like temperature&humidity. Most clients are getting a extra week or two before they need refills. The basics are the same, we apply eyepads and individually isolate an attach one extension at a time.

  • No two clients are the same, it really depends on how fast your natural lashes shed and most importantly how well you look after them. Generally around 2-3 weeks.

The average person has approximately 100 lashes per eye, with some people having anywhere up to 200. We can lose up to 3 per day. After 2 weeks thats 42 extensions that have naturally shed and left a new lash growing to be lashed.

Eyelash extensions are a luxury service and do require regular maintanence.

  • Not with us they won't

We chose the correct weight and length so it doesnt overload your natural lashes and cause them to fall out prematurely. We also take great detail in isolating one natural lash at a time to prevent damage.

Part of our consultation is talking to you about what look you want to achieve and how to best go about getting it for you.

  • You need to cleanse your lashes daily, with the suggested cleanser, which also doubles as an eye makeup remover. This removes dead skin cells, dust, dirt and oils that can sit on your lash line and cause infections or for your extensions to fall off. A mascara wand will be provided to brush those babies back into place after a shower and in the morning. You need to get in along the lashline.

We all have micro organism living on our skin 24/7 that we cant see with the naked eye. Failure to wash your lashes properly can cause a buildup of lash mites which feast off the dead skin/dirt and can cause infection.

We recommend only cleansing your lashes with luke warm, tepid water, avoiding very hot water.

  • Do not touch, rub or pull your lashes.

Tears contain salt which can make your lashes brittle. Rinse lashes with water after tears.

Keep cotton, towels, baby&makeup wipes away, they snag your lashes. We recommend using a lint free facial cloth. Available in store for $7.

Avoid exposure to extreme heat like the oven&kettle steam (stating the obvious here), hairdryers on high heat, camping fires, cigarettes or even a candle. Some lashes are temperamental and benefit from not ever exposing to hot water from shower and when cleansing.Avoid oil based products, these will break down the glue bonds, including sunscreen near the eyes.

Be careful washing your hair and face or applying facial products. That means facial cleansers, moisturizers, and foundation. These products can spread all the way to our lash line…even if we avoid the eye area and can cause retention issues without even knowing! Avoid tan and makeup setting spray over your lashes.

Avoid sleeping on your lashes. Highly recommend using a satin/silk pillow case which causes less friction against your lashes

Avoid mascara or eyeliner(unless is lash extension safe) especially waterproof mascara as it is detrimental to you lashes.

  • Please arrive with no makeup on where possible, as we cleanse your lashes at the beginning of every appointment. Avoid caffeine/pre workout as it can make your eyes jittery. Use the bathroom before we start. We want you to feel relaxed when you're with us so try to avoid bringing children with you for the comfort of yourself and other clients. Bring an Inspo photo. Remove any contact lenses. Turn your phone on silent. Enjoy your appointment.

  • It is our policy that we do not lash clients who have undergone eye surgery in the last 12 months. Anyone who cant keep their eyes shut for 1-2hours or lie still.

Lash Lifts & Brows

  • A lash lift+tint takes about 1hour and lasts between 6-10 weeks. We place a shield on your eyelid and lift your natural lashes onto it. We then use the first solution which breaks down the bonds of the hair so we can then go in with solution 2 which sets them in place. Step 3 in a botox treatment to add hydration and aid in the growth, length and thickness of your natural lashes. The final step is a tint. Your lash lift will drop out/grow out over the next 6-10 weeks depending on your lashes growth cycle.

  • Do not expose your lashes to steam, water or sweat for 24 hours and avoid sleeping on them as they are still malleable during this time. When getting your lashes wet in the shower, use your mascara wand to brush your lashes up and into place. We recommend purchasing a serum for $35 which you use like a clear mascara which is like a moisturiser for your lashes. Alternatively you can book a Botox Maintenance appointment where we apply the botox treatment with a tint which boosts the natural health and encourages growth. If your lash lift lasts 6 weeks, do this at the 3 week mark. f you normally get 10 weeks out of your lash lift, do it around the 5 week mark.

  • Avoid the sun for a few days afterwards as waxing exposes bare skin to the sun. Avoid using tan or harsh products on your face for a few days.

  • Do not expose your brows to steam, moisture or water for 24 hours. After wetting, brush into place using the mascara wands provided. We recommend a Brow Lamination Maintenance appointment along side your next tint/dye, where we apply a botox treatment to the hairs to boost the length, thickness and health.

  • Tint stains the hairs only and will only last on the skin until washed off. Dye last on the skin on average 2 weeks and the hairs for up to 10 weeks.
